silver ingot

Postby Darinaann » Thu Oct 05, 2006 5:29 pm

HI. I have been given a silver ingot which is a pendant. The marks on it are as follows: Imagine the ingot as an i. At the top of the i is a stamp bearing the letters mpm. Below that is a stamp or mark of an anchor, which appears to me like the birmingham mark. Below that one is a stamp of the left facing lion with a foot in the air and below that is what looks to me like a C, except that the top end of the C curls in quite a bit, almost looks like an e except that the curled end doesnt' in fact go anywhere near touching the inside of the C.
Can anyone tell me anything about this pendant?
