I recently purchased a soup ladle approx. 40 cm long in the south of Denmark. The pattern is 'dobbeltriflet' - made by several Danish manufacturers. The engraving contains the year 1914 when the border between DK and DE was right in this area.
The only mark is a diamond shape with a capital E and with a pair of scales on top of it. I cannot find this mark anywhere.
Can anyone tell me whether this is Danish or German?
The laddle is very light - only 105 g - so I'm not even sure if it is silver, only it reacts like silver when polished.
