Thank you for taking a look.

I have a necklace with 13 gemstones and the hallmarks "Mexico 950 TM-IRI". I understand what the 950 means. Could someone help me with the last letters and where it may come from? Maybe the "i" could be an "L" or the number 1?

Also, I believe the gems are turquoise. In your opinion, are they turquoise?

I appreciate your time, thank you.

Hi ShineInnerLight,

Welcome to the Forum.

It would appear to be Mexican, from Taxco.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/mexican_marks.html#M for an explanation of how the TM-181 (?) code is made up.

Hi ShineInnerLight,

Your gemstones appear to be Azurite and not Turquoise.

Azurite often occurs with Malachite and when the two are banded together, the stone is known as Azure-malachite.

Thus the Blue and Green coloring.
