Hello everyone, it seems all the british marks have more than just one or two marks, generally 3. This is a small bowl and only has two markings. Lion facing left and lower case h. Would love to identify date and maker if possible.
The date letter h in this style is easily recognisable as the London date code for the assay year 1963/64.
We often see partial hallmarks, the reason being that they are on individual parts which make up a complete piece. For example a lidded box might have partial hallmarks on both base and lid or perhaps a full set on the larger part and a partial set on the smaller. In this case I suspect that your bowl is actually a push-on lid which has become separated from its partner. Any further identification is clearly impossible.
