I bought a pedestal dish at a garage sale. Im new at this collecting thing and I have no idea what it is but if I can find a maker or some clue where to start looking it would help.
It looks like a cake plate on a pedestal completely silver with the markings DSCo 1214
There is a scene with windmills and people in ice sleds draw by horses around the edge of the plate that lead me to believe this piece is scandinavian. There is an inner layer of corn around the inner lip of the plate and the middle of the plate is depressed where maybe another dish sat there. The pattern continues on the pedestal part.
Does anyone have a clue who the maker is?
Thanks
Stacy
