SAN FRANCISCO

The Oneida Community Co. is moving from the sixth to the third floor of the Jewelers’ building. The new offices afford double the space of those formerly used by the Community. Workmen are now busy re-decorating the new offices.

Frank E. Murphy, who for some time has been the manager of the northwest office of Oneida Community, Ltd., Oneida, N. Y., with his headquarters in the Ryan building, St. Paul, gave up this position, effective April 15, to associate himself with the Purity Bakeries of Chicago.

C. H. Elliot, for the last six years assistant manager of the St. Louis office of Oneida Community, Ltd., Oneida, N. Y., on April 15 became the manager of the north-west office of this company, Ryan building, St. Paul, and from these headquarters he will direct the sales in the northwest. On April 9, Mr. Elliot returned from a three days’ trip to Duluth and vicinity, where he went in company with F. E. Murphy, former manager in the northwestern territory, and they expected to leave immediately on a trip through Wisconsin and the upper peninsular of Michigan, introducing Mr. Elliot to the trade.

SAN FRANCISCO

Raymond Reeve who is traveling out of the San Francisco office of the Oneida Community, Ltd., has been spending two weeks in Los Angeles on a business trip. Mrs. Reeve, who is going to conduct a school for salespeople for the Oneida here, is at present officiating at the club plan sale of the John Breuner Co., Sacramento. This well-known furniture firm has a large silver department.

Fred L. Hartwig, retail man, Oneida Community, Ltd., Oneida, N. Y., whose headquarters are at 506 Ryan building, St. Paul, returned on Oct. 27 from a trip of about three weeks through the Northwest States. He spent much of his time in North Dakota, and took particular notice of the business conditions there. Mr. Hartwig reported that the improved condition of the farmers is noticeable.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Reeve departed on Dec. 17 for the factory at Oneida to attend the annual meeting of the Oneida Community Ltd. L. D. Hapinstall, Oneida representative for the Northwest, left on Dec. 20 for the same destination. G. Smith from the North-west and W. L. Wingate and W. C. Agens from Los Angeles will make connections, en route East with Ivan L. Smith, Coast manager for Oneida Community, Ltd., who plans to start from San Francisco on the day after Christmas.

ATLANTA

James H. Harkey, district manager for the Oneida Community, Ltd., with headquarters in the Candler building, is home for the holidays following an extensive trip through his territory. He expects to visit the home offices of the company in New York about Jan. 1.

G. Wayland-Smith, vice-president of the Oneida Community, Ltd., returned to Oneida last Wednesday on the Century, after spending a few days at the Chicago office.

SAN FRANCISCO

Ivan L. Smith, Coast manager for the Oneida Community, Ltd., returned from a business trip to Los Angeles and left on July 28 to attend the agents’ meeting at Oneida, N. Y. While in the east, Mr. Smith expects to spend a week in the Catskill Mountains and will probably not return to the Coast till about Aug. 18. Some changes in the Coast organization are anticipated, but they will probably not take place till after Ivan L. Smith’s return.

Ivan L. Smith, Pacific Coast manager for the Oneida Community, Ltd., returned recently from an agents' conference at the factory. He states that ensemble selling will be the theme of much of the Community's advertising this year.
