Help with coin(?) silversmith marks on teaspoon.

Good morning and happy Labor Day from cool & foggy San Francisco. I've been researching this mark on and off with no success. The spoon is very thin & lightweight & I'm assuming it's coin silver. The mark consist of a right facing profile, a capital "W", followed by a star. The other mark appears to be a retailer named Wheelers Brooks & Co.. I've tried various search strings but find no historical reference to this company.

If anyone knows whose mark this is or can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for looking. Tim

They are recorded as such in Darling's New York State Silversmiths; the firm advertised in the local papers durning the 1830s.
