Might anyone know the use of this small Chinese piece?:













It measures 33mm in length and weighs 5.4 grammes.

Any thoughts appreciated, and should anyone recognise the maker or possible dating of the item, that would be a huge bonus.

Taweez charm is another name is Muslim world.
