Hi,

Welcome to the Forum,

Sharper, larger close-ups of the marks will be required.

Are you sure this is silver?

Hi,
Yes, better close up images are really needed.
And yellowish color looks like base metal exposed in silver plated items. Try to clean it.
This is what I managed with your image.
The mark on the right looks like J.D. Schleissner mark (Hanau).
See Pseudo marks on Hanau silver under J.D. Schleissner, mark s449 for the chalice with pellets.

hello, and Thank you for your comments.
AG2012
you seems in the right direction to me,at least regarding the history of the piece,
i know it came from germany cuse my family lived there...
so it make sense.
but i didn't see any resemblance between s449
to this mark.
Unfortenetaly i cannot take micro photo with my phone,so this is the best i can do.
thanks.

Hello again,
The mark was discussed here.
http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... au#p127599
J.D. Schleissner & Söhne used various combinations of marks.
Your mark on top compared with their chalice and pellets mark bellow. Positive identification, no doubt about it.
Most probably .800 silver, in style of old silver, that is what they did.
