Bought a fixer upper, found this in all the clutter that was left outside.

So far I can't find anything on google, looks like someone scratched part of the engraving? I've tried to clean it, its as far as I got. It was almost all black like it went through a fire?

Any info will be helpful.

Hi welcome to the forum.Your candle holder cup or perhaps rose/posy bowl missing its removable grill is silver plated however someone scratched/erased the word; Plate Co.
