Mark in shape of a buckle, on a buckle?

Strange... I got this silver belt and saw that it was marked on every piece including the belt buckle on the front. I thought it was initials, maybe an "IB" but it was difficult to make out because as you can see, it's pierced-work and the mark is always cut off in some way. I put two marks together to get one complete image and it looks like a belt or shoe buckle, not initials. Have I been staring at this thing too long? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
