This porringer is very suspicious for being genuine 17th century.
Pay attention to red arrows pointing to bottom plate soldered to the body. Genuine vessel should be hammer raised on stake from a single sheet of silver. Moreover, even soldering was poorly done.
Later repair is not very likely,either;bottom plate could not get detached like this had the porringer been made of a single sheet of silver.
Secondly, something was deliberately obliterated, a mark or something (black arrow).
In a word, this does not look right. Sorry.
