What do my hallmarks say?

Dear all
Please forgive any errors within this post, I am at the end of my tether, it has just taken me the best part of 30 mins to work out how to post!!
Could any kind soul decipher the hallmarks on my silver hip flask cover.. ahh have just come up against another problem.. how do I attach the image I have of the marks??

Hi,

Not hallmarks I'm afraid, only maker's marks as the item is silver plated.

Any clues as to what the 1783 means?
I had previously assumed it to be the date.

No, the '1783' would be an internal factory mark, probably relating to a model, batch or order number.

While I have you here would you mind looking at the next 5 images (a vanity mirror and cigarette case- I think?)
Again I'm unsure what markings denote silver from silver plated items?
