Marks on a Scottish biscuit box?

Postby mamafly2 » Thu Jan 12, 2017 6:25 pm

A lovely silver biscuit box has been handed down in my husband's family. I'm trying to identify the maker and any other info I can from the marks on the bottom. In a side-lying oval is an S followed by crossed arrows with the points facing up then an F. The numbers 49 and 330 are stamped and a lightly etched 53596 are also present. Any ideas?
