Question about B.M. Co. Salt & Pepper Shakers

Recently I bought a silver-plate(?) pair of salt & pepper shakers at an estate sale. Is anyone familiar with the B.M. Co. (stamped within a diamond) maker's mark? Many websites on the web link B.M. Co. with Baldwin Miller Co., Inc., - is this the case? Finally there is "98" stamped on the bottom as well. I'm guessing it refers to year manufactured or number in a series, but I have no idea! Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

The mark B.M.Co. in a diamond that you describe is not ascribed to Baldwin Miller in my reference books.
Breadner Company, Ltd., Hull, Quebec, Canada used that mark. Founded in 1903 as the Breadner Manufacturing Company, became Breadner Company Ltd. in 1930. Might still be in business, not sure. Problem is that they were known for producing souvenir spoons and jewelry, don't know if they made salt & pepper shakers.
