Sterling ring marked UP or UE w/ sapphires rubies diamonds

Not sure if the stones are real, but I thought this ring was interesting. Mark looks like UP or UE to me, it is also marked with 925 and some other numbers. Definitely looks quality so I am hoping someone will help me identify the maker. Thanks for all the help.

It`s Italian, post 1968.

After the star there is a number (is it 174 ?), then two letters of the province where the jeweler was registered.
If you cannot take clear close up images, try to tell us the number after the star and two letters.

Thanks for the help, I figured it out. The numbers were 124 BS. I went to the thread with all the Italian identified marks and found it belonged to ULTIMA EDIZIONE. The picture on the page had the UE logo with the little swirl above the U. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.
