Danish bracelet, 1943 - is it possible to determine the master?

Postby ds1969 » Tue Jul 05, 2016 4:52 am

I bought a custom bracelet. As a gift)) Gift liked, and it pleases))
But I am trying to find out more about the bracelet.

The sample is present - three towers with the year 43 - that is, Copenhagen, silver, 1943.
Stamp assay master, too, have (JS, Jens Sigsgaard), corresponds to the time.
Also guessed that the written word Håndsmedet - ie hand forging. But read the initials of the master before the word can not.

That's all. Questions here are some.
First - Is it possible to determine the master? (The sites that I know a huge list of Danish artists and very little reproduction of their marks.)
Second - what can we say about the technique and style of this bracelet? He himself is unusual, something like a curved short spoon with a wide scoop, and "scoop" artistically rumpled, and at the end of "handle" - a bird under a bunch of grapes. (One colleague said: "very modern style for 1943".)

I would be grateful for any tips.

Hi,
The Stadsguardein is Johannes Siggaard

Cannot help with maker`s initials.
Dove was a popular Art Deco motif (compare with Georg Jensen).
Cheers

The style similar. But hallmark is very different.
