thanks for this great puzzle - I did not expect that it is so difficult to solve.
I found 16 goldsmithes named Schroeter from 14 cities ( the most of them you surely know; but there was also one in Magdeburg, Saalfeld, Strasbourg and Rapperswil). The only one with a first name beginning with "T" is Georg Tobias Schröter from Saalfeld. But he is to old (18th ct.).
There is a cocentration of goldsmithes with this name in Saxony and the nearby Silesia. But to my opinion the "12 LÖTHIG" mark points more to Nort- East Germany and nearby regions.
And concerning the "city mark" I have no idea, what it shows. But I am assured this puzzle is to solve.
