Canadian Makers Mark Help Please?

Hi all I have a nice small 9.5CM Sterling spoon with the theme of Niagra Falls at Propect point which is a nice detailed scene. The makers mark is a crown in a circle an M in old english scroll type font in a shield and a cat in a circle as pictured.
Does any one know who the marks belong to? and any history on them please.
Your help as always much appreciated.
