I was hoping perhaps the community might be able to tell me a little more about this vase... I think it is Persian, but I am not sure. I saw someone describe a similar piece as depicting "Persian poetry motifs", and the style seems similar to other Persian pieces, but the hallmark is a bit different. It is marked on the bottom, with a "900" and two scripted hallmarks that I can not decipher. I though Persian used a scripted finesses hallmark of 84 / for .875? Did they ever use "900"? Is this perhaps an earlier or later piece? Or do I have the region wrong altogether? Any insight you could provide would be appreciated.
