Help with silver plate horseshoe ink well

I think it was a trophy from the 60s but I could be wrong!

The hallmark in a star and a diamond with maybe an N in it

Just to assure you that we are not ignoring you! I suspect this is another of the many, many silver-platers' marks which is yet to be identified.

Hopefully someone will prove me wrong and provide an answer.
