Dating unmarked Navajo pill box

Came from an estate in New Orleans with items dating from the 1700's to modern. I beleve this is 1950's. Is it possible to tell if it's earlier or later?





I don't have a silver testing kit. Is it likely that this is sterling? Coin silver? Or something else?
