Hi Decsilver,

It's a British Registration Date mark. I can't make out all the details, but enough to to know it relates to the period 1868 - 1883.

You can find the exact date and what all the numbers and letters mean here(note: use table 2);

Looks like metal from November 29, 1877. Any way to find manufacturers? Or is it just a matter of makers mark somewhere else on the piece I guess. Thanks again!
