Sorry about my input above. Single images are allowed. However, if you want an answer, please move your question to the Russian site and add a picture of the entire object.

On Trev's request

Made in Moscow 1882 and assayed (most likely) by Viktor Savinsky 1856-1894 (B.C). The maker is (ВБ) Vasily Bortsov 1882-1883. This is the best I can come up with in this case.

Perhaps the maker ВБ is Василий Баладанов.

@Ubaranda
I don't think it is Baladanov because he did not use serif fonts in his maker's mark while Bortsov did. Please see P#2283-4 (Baladanov P#2281-2) and compare with the marks in the picture. Pay particular attention to the outlook of the letter Б. Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure that #2284 is V. Bortsov but it is a good guess.

Qrt.S, tell me please who is Vasily Bortsov? Where did you get information about him?

Alex.

I got from a Russian friend of mine. I don't know where from he got it. I have no reason to question him.

It's very dubious information. You should say "IMHO" when you said it.

There is more than a lot of dubious information regarding Russian masters and not to mention missing information. That is very well known. Every "straw" is worth to grab. It can be of help in the future. You never know....
