Chinese Sterling probably Canton - help with markers mark

This is a piece of Chinese sterling inscribed "from the officers of the USS Simpson April 26, 1927" so the date is not an issue. The USS Simpson was in Canton that year so that is probably the location. Can someone help me identify the maker? Image
