Hi. I'm not even sure what you'd call this piece. It is also marked STERLING.

Thank you. I knew I had seen that Deer before. I had a Wallace piece that had one of the other marks.

It would be called a covered serving dish (lay terms). Hot or cold food would be put in a liner, probably glass, and inserted in the base with the ring over it to hold the lid. And Trev, thanks for the great links.
