This cylindrical beaker standing on three ball feet is chased with scrolling foliage and flowers. The innerside still has some gilt left. It looks like the beaker is raised from a single sheet. The feet are cast separately.
Weight 121 grams
Height 9,3 cm
Diameter 7,1 cm
At the bottom (under) is a the town mark that looks like the townmark of Luebeck, the two headed eagle, and a monogram of the master.
Clearly visible in the masters mark is the letter "M". The second letter in the monogram looks like a "D" to me.
There is an old note with the beaker saying that the master is Melchior Dieck (±1690), but I can't find that master in reference books I have access to nor on internet. Anyone knows?

Zilverik
