Mid Century - Danish Sterling Serving Fork

Postby natNYC » Mon Sep 07, 2015 8:41 pm

I can't quote figure out the mark on this.
It is a serving fork (I think a fish fork?)
the name on the back looks like Hans? - Sterling Denmark.

any leads would be great!

This is the mark of Hans Hansen, founded in 1906. The company was particularly well-known for its Art Deco designs in the 1930s.

Your fork appears to be a cold meat serving fork. Although the pattern is familiar, I don't know the name or production dates.

Hope this helps a bit.

You're welcome! If you use the search function here, you'll get more information about Hans Hansen. The company was absorbed by Georg Jensen in the mid-1950s.
