Gero silver from Georg Nilsson

Postby appt1050 » Sun Jul 05, 2015 9:17 am

Hello,
I bought a silver art deco object but I'm a bit confused to date the object. The mark says "A Gero 90 (GN)".
I already did some investigations and found that the designer is the Danish Georg Nilsson. The company where the object was produced is Gero and started at 1912. But the "A" should stand for 1910, so that's why I'm confused.
Can someone give me some more info please?
Many thanks.

Hi welcome to the forum.

Silver plated, the A in a circle is a factory /quality reference code not a date letter
For information see Gero factory;
viewtopic.php?f=5&p=116623#p116623
I believe it to be made early 1950ties, silver plated Nut Dish Candy Dish with handle.
