The firm of Haynes & Kentish is probably identified with this man to the extent that he was Kentish's father. His son, Samuel Kentish who was mentioned in the bequests in his father's will was made free by redemption in the Company of Goldsmiths on 19 January 1802. Samuel's freedom paper acknowledges his right to freedom by patrimony in the Company of Glovers because of his father, but states that for particular reasons he was instead applying for redemption in the Company of Goldsmiths.
