Does any one know is this Russian or Middle eastern?

Recently bought this pot/vase .Seller thinks it is Russian but I am not convinced has 84 mark but other marks look arabic/ middle east does any one have any idea?

Hi Sue,

Welcome to the Forum.

You are far more likely to get a response if you embed your images as very few people will click on links.

Thank you very much for your advice sorry new to this, Took me ages to work out how to put on a link- how do I embed photos?

With Photobucket they give a choice of links, choose the one with 'img' tags, from memory it's the bottom of the list, marked something like 'for forums and message boards'.

I agree that the marks are almost certainly Arabic, but I will leave it to someone more knowledgeable to make a definite identification.

Certainly not Russian marks.

I pray you are well. It's Farsi as used in Persia (Iran). We do have a few members that can translate it for us.
