Moroccan silver mark?

Hi,

I have a Moroccan teapot, I took it to 2 different jewelers in order to find out if it's made of silver or just plated. I got 2 different answers, one said it's plated and the other one said it was silver. Don't know who was right and the teapot now has some damage on the pouring tip, aybe acid?
