Ivan Khlebnikov? Not sure which makers marks these are.

Postby Markaty » Sat Mar 14, 2015 2:56 pm

Good evening.

I was sold a tankard as 'Ivan Khlebnikov' but I don't think it is! I've looked at previous posts for Khlebnikov marks but they don't match what I have. I only bought it because I thought it was
Ivan Khlebnikov, so I think I've been screwed :

Any help anyone can give in identifying the makers mark, and what the other marks mean, would be gratefully received.

Kind regards,

Markaty

Hi Markaty,

Welcome to the Forum.

You will have much more chance of getting a response if you embed your images as few people will click on links.

As already mentioned I rather not click on links. However, I made an exception due to curiosity :-)))).
The result
Your tankard is definitely not made by Khlebnikov but there are other possibilities. Please take some new pictures of the maker's mark and embed them here. It looks like Pyotr Miljukov but???? A new better photo and we'll see.

Sorry I forgot to tell you that it is not a tankard but a tea glass holder. In Russian it is called "podstakannik". Unfortunately the glass part is missing. In addition, there are some strange extra marks not belonging there...? Does the handle carry any marks? It should. It is a separate part soldered to the body. Please show better pictures as already requested.

Yes, it's Pyotr Milyukov.
This producer isn't less known, than Khlebnikov. But it not the tankard is a glass holder.
