H. J. Wilm Berlin

Postby larrywseale » Sat Jan 31, 2015 6:06 pm

My latest (as yet unpolished - sigh) acquisition is a H. J. Wilm .800 silver coffee/tea service & I'm trying to get an idea of when it was made. My guess is around the turn of the (20th) century but the only Wilm mark I could find is the Ferdinand Richard Wilm. No idea what the mark to the left of 800 means. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

the mark left of the 800 is the "Spindelpresse" mark of Wilkens, Bremen.

I forgot to explain that Wilkens was the maker and Wilm the seller (juweller).
