Sterling Wheat Pattern Butter Spreads. Maker Help

Postby AndrewLowe » Thu Jan 22, 2015 12:20 pm

Having a bit of trouble with these. Hoping someone would recognize the pattern. They are only marked "Sterling" on the underside/narrow edge right behind the blade. I'm guessing the rest of the pieces in the pattern had more markings but there was no spot for them on these. So any thoughts/direction would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the Forum.

As they are anomalously made, the origin of the pieces may be that of premiums.

Hi - your flat butters are in Oneida's Heirloom 'Lasting Spring' pattern, introduced in 1949, it was a regular open-stock line, available for decades.
