I need help identifying this Russian bracelet

Postby Steve7082 » Fri Dec 19, 2014 11:47 am

I was given this Bedouin hinged cuff bracelet as a gift and would love to know more about it. I believe its from the Odessa region, but I can't identify the maker mark or other hallmarks. HELP!

Hi.

Nice item.
It's tipical national product of Caucas silversmiths. Punch is of Vladikavkaz assay office. 1882-1899. 84 zolotnik silver (875).

Now Vladikavkaz is the capital city of the Republic of North Ossetia—Alania. Vladikavkaz is one of the most populous cities in the North Caucasus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladikavkaz

Silversmith is Kozhdoyanz K.I. (Кождоянц К.И.) (P.-L. - 3196)
