Please help identify this gun charm

The marks are tiny and hard to see, but I think the one on the left is a star inside a circle, and the one to it's right, a crown. I would love to be able to determine where this is from and what date it was made. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can't help with the maker, but the item was assayed at Sheffield in 1987.
