Brazilian Teaspoons - BJAPF

Postby bstaunto » Thu Aug 21, 2014 7:15 pm

Hey team,

I just got these interesting little spoons. The only other reference for BJAPF is from an auction website, saying it is Brazilian. I was wondering if anyone could confirm this and also give me a rough date for their manufacture?
Also, is the square heal on the spoon typical of Portuguese or Brazilian spoons?

Thanks, Ben.

Hi Ben,

I've moved the topic to 'Other Countries' as, presuming the mark is not a Brazilian pseudo, according to Tardy the mark was used at Lisbon 1816-1828.

Hopefully one of our Iberian members can offer something more concrete.

Trev.
