G7S and Sword on snuff box

Postby uniwal » Mon May 15, 2006 5:37 am

A Dutch silver snuff box with a whaling scene is hallmarked with a sword testifying to its make some time during 1814 - 1953. But what does G7S in a rectangualr mark mean? I know at least one more example of this snuff box in a Dutch collection. Thanks for your help. uniwal [/img]
