Hello Everyone! Can anyone help me with this pattern? There are three boxed hallmarks which are unreadable, as well as "Sterling Patented 1925" ( or possibly 1926)". I apologize in advance if I am in the wrong category, and thank everyone for their help. David
Thank you for the reply, Silverly. After your post, I compared the piece in-hand with close up pictures of the Gorham pattern, and unfortunately, they don't match up. My pieces have a plain top end, while the Gorham pattern has a simple pattern. I'm not giving up!
The middle of the handle looks an awful lot like the Princess Patricia pattern, but my reference doesn't show it as a multi motif pattern, so I don't have a better suggestion. Hopefully, some one else will be able to make the identification. Good luck with your research.
Hi - your pics are bit fuzzy, but I am with Silverly, those are Gorham marks and this is the Durgin/Gorham 'Princess Patricia' pattern, 1926 patent #D73149. Can't really make out the tops, but the pattern does not have particularly deep detailing at best, perhaps your pieces were subjected to some overly enthusiastic polishing or machine-buffing in their past...
