Help identify creamer & sugar bowl ~1875

I inherited these from my mother whose family history extends to the mid 1700's in Virginia.


The bottoms are engraved with "From A.A. & ?.E.L 1875" (unable to ID the ? letter)


and the hallmark is a right facing lion, anchor, and a symbol I don't recognize followed by 825 STERLING C.

Any ideas where this was made, by whom and/or when? How do I assess value for insurance? Your help is greatly appreciated!

The lion anchor G is for Gorham a USA maker
The 825 is the model number
Sterling is 925
the C is a date letter for 1870
Sorry we don't do valuations.

Where do you live, jewelers don't necessarily know antique values.

Sorry I know no one in Houston. I can say some appraisers charge more than an appraisal is worth, you would have to find a silver dealer willing to do it reasonably, which isn't going to be easy. Then you have to find out what the limit on your insurance policy, to see if they will cover you, without an appraisal
