Good morning,
I found this ring in the surf, deep in the sand along the Florida coast. It was severely crusted over and required electrolysis to clean it. I've attached a link to the photos of the ring when found, cleaned and then polished. There is also a close up of the hallmark. Double click on the photo to enlarge.
There is a remnant of a hallmark above the word Sterling and I am unable to locate a match.
I'm attempting to identify any makers information or year of manufacture.
Thanks so much.
Ring photos can be seen here.

Okay, I'll try again.
The images were linked to my personal blog, so now I'll try the tiny pic.

Ouch, this is a painful learning experience.
Let me try again...

Hi Lannen,
I believe that says STERLING. Have a look.

Yes, it says Sterling.
If you see my first post, I'm looking for identification of the mark above the word Sterling.

Sorry didn't read it all the way through. Try changing your settings and lighting to see if it will bring up different aspects of the mark. Worth a shot, no pun intended.

I've done that, and enhanced the image to produce what you see above. That is the best it will get.
