Hi,

How to Add Images

http://www.postimages.org is recommended. Embedded images get a far greater response than just posting links.

Hi welcome back, after 8 years, to the forums,

Image
Marks; Crown, Lion passant facing right, S, WK conjoined

See Hanau pseudo marks;
http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_hanau_marks_01.html
Go to unatributed pseudo -marks on Hanau style silver; possible Wolf & Knell?

Not British because the lion is walking the right way. It are Hanau style(German) pseudo marks .

Date letter ``S`` can be either 1838 or 1860, meaning ``sovereign’s head`` is missing.
Lion passant was always facing left.
This form of Sheffield crown has not been recorded.
There was no Sheffield maker with conjoined WK initials.

To keep it simple, please see: Unattributed Pseudo-Marks on Hanau Style Silver:

Last row middle image and look!

Best,

Hi Nick,

Welcome to the Forum.

Please start a new topic with images of your item and the marks.

Remember to use the 'Preview' feature, if you can't see anything, then neither can we.
