Thank you so much for clarifying my confusion on the particular design of Samuel Blomberg's makers mark then illustrating the other variations. Before cleaning it with a soften wooden toothpick, a technique you have all taught me, was not sure what I was looking at. Since this was my first Swedish piece Saint Erik was also a challenge, did find another site that illustrates given marks with the periods they were used.
As for Master Samuel Blomberg, you have told me a great deal. What would he think to know that on the 200th anniversary of the creation of his work, we're sitting here having a discussion in cyberspace. Beyond his wildest dreams and yet his still speaks to us.
