Enamel restoration - anyone help?

Postby Mac1956 » Sat May 06, 2006 12:41 pm

I have a beautiful set of coffee spoons - silver gilt, coffee bean in ebony on each stem - the bowls have leaf veins on the bottoms and are enamelled in a tranparent yellow. There is a scar on one - it is a small scratch - visible to the naked eye - but under magnification you can perceive small thread veins coming away from this (three). I would like to have this one restored. They were made in Birmingham (anchor) - four have F marks (1930) and two have E (1929) although they do come from the same original set. They are made by The Goldsmiths Silversmiths Company. Can anyone help with any recommendations for restoration? I would really appreciate it.
