Need Help - M.J. Locke & Son

Postby NancyBessey » Sun Apr 30, 2006 3:48 pm

This is marked with either H or M. J. Locke & Son and the date is 1908. I'd appreciate any help I can get on this. I have not been able to find anything. I have a complete set for 12.

I'm trying again to send the second pic. I'm sorry I'm not better at this!

Locke was the retailer; the maker was Towle.

The lion standing inside a script T is Towle's mark.

Towle's "Paul Revere" line of flat and hollowware. Your second image (showing the pattern, I presume) does not exist. If you fix it, one of those with a knowledge of the firm's goods may identify it for you.

Again, thank you so much for all the information!!! I've been trying to send the other picture - I'll definitely keep trying. I'm not very computer picture savvy!!! :-)

Possibly Horatio J and his son Samuel M R Locke of Belfast, Maine.
