CHANDLER, Walker (Grimwade p.404, 718)

Postby silverly » Sun Mar 09, 2014 6:37 am

I believe this gentleman may be "Walter" Chandler a Bristol cutler who was in business there roughly from the 1770's through the 1790's and is listed in many apprentice indenture duty payment records for that time. At least a few of those records were along with his wife Phebe. Only mark as bucklemaker, 1785

It turns out that Grimwade has identified this gentleman as Walter Chandler on page 718. No doubt another typo is the referral to section VII on page 718 instead of section VIII.
