cant seem to find any info on this french maker (thought about Alfred Dunhill but this is not his hallmarks).

Believe this is the mark of Aksel Dahl, manufacturing jeweller (fabricant bijoutier) working in Paris at 3, rue de la Perle, first registered on 29 April 1913. His symbols were a crossed modelling tool and a hammer (une mirette et un marteau en croix). Source: French Ministry of Culture's website. Hope this helps.
