Hi David,

Believe that the single crown mark represents Finland. Are both of the trays the same pattern? The number 90 I believe indicates that 90 grams of silver were used in the silver plating process. The two initial makers mark are very unclear but appear to be different makers.

Hope this helps

the Crown do not look right. I think that it should look like the finnish Crown.

No, it is not the Finnish crown. In addition, the rest of the marks are not according to Finnish standards starting from 1810. Before that the Swedish standard was used. Here is a link to Finnish marks: http://www.leimat.fi/en/

Nonetheless, the marks might be plate marks, or...?

Hello Warren!
Yes, it is! I saw a lot of time before. Maybe in my other laptop I have some pictures about it. I'll check in a couple of day.
Best regards!

Krisztián is absolutely right - this is Romanian silver mark.

Even better thank you Alex,

Using that guide it appears that the crown marks are providing the following:

image #3

three notches above crown in a circle are indicating a fineness of 750

7 (crown)
2

Numbers appear fairly clear.

image #4

three notches above crown in a circle again 750

(crown)
A

Capital A is just very tip of the letter. Both trays post 1948 production. Does that make any sense?

Why 1948? If you see the letter A, it means 1937.

Hello everyone!
I didn't found any pics in my laptop about this romanian hallmark or item.
But there is a little schedule about the romanian hallmarks

Image

I think, the shape of the hallmark and the strains in the hallmarks shows the age and the fineness of the item, the character "A" (and any other letter) rather shows some romanian assay office. But I didn't no the exact rules about the romanian hallmark system.
Best regards!

And a good question Alex,

Looks like this additional chart is showing a 1937-1949 time frame for the round crown mark with the A below and three notches above. The other mark again appears to show a number 2 at six o'clock and 7 at 9 o'clock with the same three notches. 1972? Had asked the gentleman if they were the same pattern, a question that can have any number of implications. Would love to see it in the context of other worked produced in Romania.

a very good to everyone

Hi all!
This Romanian tea spoon was made in 1931. "F" is year's letter. "A" - 1927, "B" - 1928, etc. I know it exactly.
Best regards. Alex.

Sorry, I was mistaken :-(. "A" -1926, "B" - 1927, etc.

Dear friends!
I'm sorry, I was wrong. The letters and numbers under the crown aren't the year marks. They are codes of provincial assay offices. Now known only three of them: for the 1926-49: "A" - Bucharest, "L" - Muntenia and for 1949-55: "10" - Bucharest.
Once more forgive me.
Best regards. Alex.
