IDENTIFICATION - HELP

Hello guys,
I got this pair of polish candlesticks.
tested it with acid and it's silver, not silverplated.
The weird thing is i can't find any marks on it beside an " X " mark on the bottom.

On page 37 it shows the Poland hallmarks and at the bottom it says " X = Deletion Mark "

Can anyone explain what "Deletion Marks" are?

No, that is not a deletion mark, a deletion mark would be struck directly over an existing hallmark.

If an object is solid silver it in almost all cases has silver marks. Why would it be unmarked if it is solid silver? OK, there are exception like some object from Asia etc., but these candle sticks do not look being from Asia.
As many times said on these sites the acid test is not fully reliable. A silver plated object might fool you with the test. The surface is of course solid 100% silver but the base metal not. In my eyes and without any silver marks it looks like plated Britannia metal. In addition relatively newly made.
